Just wondering if you recommend washing fabric before cutting?

Hi Judy! We do not pre-wash our fabric before we make our quilt samples, it is entirely your personal preference. All of our fabric is 100% cotton. :)
Received my kit on November 12th and starched all my fabrics yesterday so I’m ready to go! I love your kits and the mystery quilt alongs. I really enjoy watching both Kathy and Kristen on their training videos. They are both excellent and they offer so many wonderful tips and tricks to help us out! Happy Homemade Holidays!

Hi Roxy! So awesome! We really hope you’re enjoying this kit as well. Happy Homemade Holidays to you! <3
First I love making Christmas quilts and have lots of Christmas stash. Second, since I recently retired and am only working part-time I finally have the time to do something like this weekly mystery for the first time. Very excited to join the fun.

Hi there! So excited to have you aboard! :)
We are in the process of moving so I can’t sew along with you but the beauty of your sew alongs is that you sew at your own pace. I sent the link to my husband so I’m hoping this kit was purchased for my birthday or Christmas… fingers crossed. 🙂

Hello Pam! That would be a wonderful Christmas gift!
I received mine today. I must say that I’m a little disappointed in the colors. The white is not a true white but rather a beige/ivory. Hopefully, it will grow on me as I work with it.

Hi Sue, sorry to hear that! This “white” does have some shading, it is called Vanilla Grunge. You can always substitute a true white if you prefer. :)
